The greatest number of unprotected computers were reported in Singapore.
McAfee’s experts analyzed the overall level of cyber security users worldwide. The study was conducted in 24 countries, with data collected on a monthly basis with the 27-28 million computers. This was done to determine the number of users who install the system on its basic software security.
In McAfee found that one out of every six personal computers has zero protection. 17% of all analyzed user systems operate with a disabled anti-virus software or if it is absent.
The greatest number of unprotected computers were reported in Singapore – 21.75% of the analyzed user systems. Members of Finland’s most sophisticated approach to security. Only 9.7% of the computers in this country are not equipped with security software.
In the study conducted by McAfee users around the world have declared that in case of any loss of information, 27% of the files will be impossible to recover.
“The freedom to use the Internet is closely linked with the risk of undesirable effects, as well as malicious attack on unsuspecting victims. With the ever increasing number of cyber attacks aimed at users, it is important that 17% of unprotected users have updated their antivirus software, “- said the representative of McAfee Petrakka Steve (Steve Petracca).
