The company Juniper Networks has expanded its security platform for the Junos Pulse series Samsung mobile phones based on Android.

The company said it will integrate its security platform with hardware Samsung, to add some features that are not currently available for other devices Android.

Among the remedies proposed for devices Samsung, will be the inclusion of SSL VPN-connections. The platform will enable devices to establish a secure connection and interact with corporate networks.

In addition, the upgrade will allow administrators to remotely scan your system for malware, as well as monitor and remove software without the need for user interaction.

The functions included in the Junos Pulse, a platform for management and mobile security features for iOS, Windows Phone and device-based BlackBerry, and Android.

Stefano Landi, director of strategic agreements in Juniper, said the partnership with Samsung has been part of an effort to expand the scope of the Pulse in the space of phones Android.

“It’s not just for security devices, their control or establish a secure connection,” – he said. ”It’s about offering a complete set.”

In the past, Juniper concluded agreements relating to the extension of the platform Pulse. In August, she signed a partnership agreement with U.S. telecommunications giant AT & T. Lundy said that Juniper will be open for the establishment of such partnerships not only with the developers and hardware providers, but also with vendors of operating systems, to integrate the Junos with new devices and functions.

“The intention is to make integration with various devices,” – he said. ”The implementation depends on when the other phone manufacturers will provide the introduction, or when they will be available on Android”.
