A man from Florida has pleaded not guilty in that hacked mailboxes actresses Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis and 50 more celebrities and stealing intimate photos and personal information.

During his first appearance in court on Tuesday in California, 35-year-old Christopher Chaney of Jacksonville, Florida, denied the allegations contained in the indictment. Judge Patrick Walsh increased the bail for Mr. Cheney to $ 10 000 to $ 110 000 after the presentation of evidence by prosecutors that the accused may have watched the three victims, including 13-year-old girl.

Cheney went into denial as soon as publicly apologized for his actions on the news channel WAWS of Jacksonville, Florida.

“It all started with simple curiosity and grew into a habit” – Cheney said on camera. ”The ability to look into the backstage life of the people you see on the big screen. I almost felt relieved when they came to me and arrested the computers.”

But even after federal investigators seized a computer Cheney, he continued to conduct its surveillance against the unnamed actress for another six months. So wrote the newspaper Associated Press, citing a prosecutor.

“We worry that he could not stop myself,” – said attorney Lisa Fildman.

According to state prosecutors, Cheney was producing personal information about their victims, and subsequently used it to hack email accounts for more than 50 representatives of show business. Among the other victims of Cheney, presumably, was also a singer Christina Aguilera, actress and fashion designer Rene Olsted Simon Harush. Intimate photos of nude Johansson , who stole from her Cheney account, soon appeared on the site and caused the federal investigation.

After Cheney had access to the accounts in Apple, Google and Yahoo, he set up a forwarding function, and since then all new messages are received instantly by his rubber-stamp account.

Associated Press suggested that Cheney might have to monitor network activity even three people. One victim was probably a girl of thirteen, and another – a woman from the state of Connecticut, for which Cheney was able to follow for the past 12 years.

Cheney’s lawyer told the newspaper that the new charges – forgery.

In a small article published Tuesday in Vanity Fair, Scarlett Johansson showed no any regrets about the fact that pictures of herself naked and kept the pictures in your account.

“I know myself from what angle I look better,” – she said. ”I sent them to her husband. There is nothing like that. I’m not filming porn.”
