D-Link is introducing two new models of storage area networks, which are combined into a series of DSN-6000 Series iSCSI. The solutions are designed for small and medium-sized businesses and, in comparison with their predecessors, provide the best performance figures at work in the physical and virtual environments.
Feature of the DSN-6000 Series is the support mechanisms for the protection of data, including the need to mention the possibility of creating a “checkpoint” and complete the cloning SAN. In the first case, the need to restore data to its original state returns only the information that has changed since the last checkpoint. The procedure involves cloning a full backup of all data from the SAN to a remote storage device.
Both models are made in a 2U enclosure for mounting in a standard server rack and contains 12 drive bays Interface SAS, the total volume of which can be up to 36 terabytes. Model DSN-6110 iSCSI with 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports is estimated at $ 8225, DSN-6410 iSCSI Dual Port 10 Gigabit Ethernet will cost customers $ 10,025.
