Today e-commerce has gained a lot of popularity. Mostly in the asian countries, people are pouring with e-commerce websites selling anything & everything around. I am myself involved in a great deal of e-commerce activities, my own website www.trendzystreet.com is going to be up soon with designer clothing & accessories for the female audience.
In this post I am simply going to talk about the impact & behavior of a buyer/seller in online shopping/selling (data is gathered by various sources & is more or less factual)
Its more about the demand & supply here. Though it’s still recorded as trend but earlier when the e-comm trend had started it was more about the creativity of the website & the excitement to buy online, & now it’s barely about the look of the website or just the excitement. It’s about the busy life one has & the price that is offered online, & not to forget the important part the service provided to the buyer. So much has changed over these many years. I feel in India things have changed more, due to the Cash on Delivery provided by almost All of the e-commerce websites, like even a website for travel tickets gives you an option to pay at your doorstep, which is of course valued as giving out credit/debit card information still feels unsafe & insecure mode of transaction in the open world(internet)

There is a lot of competition you are looking at, every website has its own unique quality & service, I personally have done quite a lot of online shopping & the utmost part of the experience was the convenience of shopping whilst sitting at home, the cheaper rates & wide access to a lot of product & brands at one stop shop.
Buyers have various reasons to indulge in online shopping, the prime reason today is the price & customer service as I have come across people who have all the time to go to a store check the price & freebies there then compare it online & make their purchase, mostly the shopping portal wins as it doesn’t just sell that product in a lesser price but also offers various other perks like free shipping or free gift or may both.
Mobile users have already increased to about 90% of the population especially in the urban areas; have too started to indulge in online shopping from their mobiles as now most of the cell phones are launched with internet applications which help them buy while they are sitting in a train. Nowadays the smart phones & tablets have gained so much popularity that being connected has become a trend for some & necessity for the others. They come a million of application which are faster & give a amazing shopping experience
So to sum it up for now it is certain that e-commerce industry is not just growing year-by-year but evidently growing day-by-day.
